Preserve Delaware Township's Rural Character

  • Continue to support open space and farmland preservation funding with appropriate use of funds

  • Maintain and strengthen planning and zoning to guide development in a manner compatible with the rural character of our township
     

Hold the line on taxes and promote fiscal responsibility

  • Ensure judicious use of existing assets and resources

  • Explore resources with other townships to help lower costs while maintaining or expanding services

  • Adopt regular budgeting for Dilts Park maintenance and improvements and for technology upgrades - so there are no surprises. 

  • Identify and apply for any additional grants and sources of funds

  • Apply for county surplus funds

 

Actively Foster An Open, Accessible Government - (while improving, our Township can do better)

  • Advocate for live video streaming and recording of Township Committee meetings to inform more residents of township business

  • Establish a regular practice of making meeting documents available online five days prior to the meeting 

  • Support timely posting of minutes online within three days following the meeting
     

Encourage Participation and Volunteerism

  • Enable our residents to have their voices heard and opinions respected 

  • Encourage residents to volunteer and to participate on township projects, serve on boards and committees, and township meetings

  • Treat all township employees with respect
